Unplugged PT 2: Praise God for Pathways...

One of the highlights of our summer, one we schedule our vacations, sports camps and other events around, so we will not miss it, is Pathways Vacation Bible School. An awesome way to unplug!!!!

This is our fourth year attending, second year for Mary, and all three kids love it. I can't wait until next year when Olivia can attend, and Nick can volunteer to be a helper.

It is such a blessing to have a God-centered, postive, fun environment for the kids during the summer, where they have a blast and love their faith!

Highlights each day were crafts, games, devotions, worship....the list goes on and on.

A BIG family highlight of the week, besides the slide show we get to see on the Sunday following, is the family carnival closing the week on Friday night. A major unplugged evening. I am not sure my kids have ever had so much fun.

You earn tickets by playing carnival games, then get to cash them in for rock climbing, cotton candy, snowcones, a photo booth or even fake air brush tatoos. What do you think the favorite was in my family?

Nick's crazy hairdo with a friend in the photo booth?

No.....

Momma's fake tatoo?????

No........

Rock CLIMBING!!!!!

Yep...... I cannot count the number of times my kids won more tickets, got back in line and climbed that rock, again and again and again....... even into the twilight.....

Angela had so much patience, waiting in line with Mary...and Nick helped boost her up a time or two.

There was a second runner up, for favorite activity to cash in tickets....

Scroll down to the last pictures ...and you will see, what was the favorite of Taddy. He showed me a fist full of tickets he won, and would give five at a time to Nick and Mary, to climb the rock. He climbed a few times..but then discovered what ELSE he could do with his tickets.....

It was an awesome week. Thank you Pathways...and all the wonderful organizers and volunteers...truly a blessing.

Nick makes it to the top and sounds the alarm!

I am not sure what Mary liked best, climbing up, or repelling back down while she yelled...wheeeeeee!

Angela and Mary...waiting in line, yet again.

All three waiting their turn, or helping out.

Mary climbing into the night....

Taddy's attempt, until he discovered.......

...what else he could do with tickets......

Cotton Candy!!!!

Three down, two to go....

And he still had room for hotdogs!!!!
