"Does he mope, does he moan, does he sulk, does he sigh?"
"clippity clop-clippity clop. Away, he cried."
"click clack, moo, click clack moo. clickity clack moo."
"can't go over it can't go under it. oh no, we have to go through it."
"I want my mommy, said Bill"
Lines from some of our favorite books.
One of the things we have been working on at home, to bring order to chaos is to get a full, better nights sleep. The key to momma being calm is momma getting enough sleep. To do that, I need to get my children to bed sooner. Mary and Olivia have a hard time winding down and getting to sleep. So, I have started, 30 minutes before their bed time, to pull out some of those favorite children's books, from the years when Nick and Tad were littler. Though they could be too "young" for Olivia, English being a new language for her, plus the fact that she never got to enjoy these books the first time around...she too has loved the discovery of these wonderful stories and pictures (as much as momma has loved the rediscovery!)
These are just a few of our favorites...that we read over and over again.
