summer wearing out
kids clothes too
sunflower heads droopy-drying in the end of summer heat
pencils sharpened, school supplies stacked and waiting
planning schedules,
boys dreading haircuts
middle of the birthdays...2 gone 2 yet to come
no hint of fall in the air, anywhere...
but the longing of fall in our hearts.
Come on summer, wrap it up...
